Task #1: FlipGrid

In this task we were asked to describe a school doing something unique in the educational community. I chose Escuela IDEO from here in Madrid. Check out the video below or follow the link to find out more about the school! In terms of FlipGrid, I think the tool is useful for a variety of purposes. I've personally used it for bookclubs, instead of forcing students to read AND write answers I make a deal with them - if you'll read and prove it by answering questions on FlipGrid, we can call it good. It also has the opportunity to spark discussions that other platforms don't, but one should keep in mind student anxiety (especially in early secondary school) with their physical appearance and with revealing what their home looks like. By the time you're my age though - you record the video wearing the hoodie your wife forbids you to leave the house in!
